A winter storm that paralyzed the Southeastern US is churning up the Eastern Seaboard. Jon Decker reports.

The Southeastern U.S. continues battling icy roads as a storm that blanketed states from Louisiana to North Carolina in as much as 10 inches of snow swept up the east coast.

At least eight people have died in weather-related car crashes over the past few days.

In a bid to avoid further accidents, authorities closed schools and government offices for a second day in dozens of districts in the southeast.

At Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world's busiest, many passengers were forced to stay the night at the airport as local hotels were full.

Delta, the airport's dominant carrier, canceled close to 1,30 flights, including those operated by its regional affiliates.

The storm that tore across the Deep South on Sunday and Monday dumping record amounts of snow, is now headed up the east coast where Boston could get hit with as much as a foot and half of snow.
